Three years ago, when my nephew was born, I didn't know about ETSY. So I bought gifts for him the traditional way. (Doesn't mean I don't love him. )

Now that I've discovered ETSY, when I first learned my brother and sister-in-law were going to have a little girl, I didn't know what to buy first. There are SO MANY incredibly adorable things for girls on this site.

My very first purchase was from Organic Beginings. I was pretty sure my sister-in-law was going to love it as it is made from organic, eco-friendly material. I was happy about that too, but so much more thrilled with the little bunny on the front. (I have a soft spot for bunnies, what can I say).

This adorable onesie came with a matching hat and was packaged in a Chinese take out container with the most beautiful bow I've ever seen. In fact, it was packaged so prettily, I didn't even open it before I gave it to my niece when she was born.

The photo does not do it justice. It is too cute for words.

Organic fabrics are made from resources grown and/or produced without man-made pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers - only natural fertilizers and pest control measures are employed.

All of the eco friendly fabrics used by Organic Beginings exhibit wonderful properties, perfect for baby clothing: natural cooling, outstanding moisture management and inhibition of bacteria growth.

A Sense of Peace and Calm

I have always loved the beach. The smell of the salty water, the wind in my face, the gentle roar of the waves all combine to create a sense of peace and calm.

That sense of peace and calm is exactly how I felt when I found this bracelet at the Hidden Treasure Box.

The beautiful sea blue, soft foam green, the silver beads - all capturing and reflecting the rays of the sun.

Cindy has been creating jewelry for the past 2 years and selling it to family and friends. Now, she's selling on ETSY and very excited by the prospects this will bring.

Purple Passion

I don't know when it happened or why, but I have an obsession with the color purple. No, I haven't painted my entire house in shades of lavender nor am I only wearing purple or dyed my hair to match. Just certain objects - art, jewelry, home decor - catch my eye and I'm in love.

This is how I felt about the Chunky Amethyst Necklace, one of the pieces from Capital City Craft Studio.

Periwinkle Studio

I first discovered Periwinkle Studio when I was asked to assist with a redesign of their banner. After their banner design, I created their mini brochure. Working with the photographs in creating their graphics, I fell head over heels in love with this shop. The dichroic glass designs are too beautiful to put into words.

According to her profile on her website at Periwinklesuz:

I throughly enjoy creating mini works of art by fusing dichroic glass in my kiln and adding silver to it. I think it is wonderful to wear something that is unique, one of a kind and specially made.
I love the beautiful colors and the surprises I get when I fuse it in my kiln. I make everything in my home studio with the utmost care and attention. Each piece is individually made and no two will ever be the same. Everything is fused, annealed for strength and fire polished. I use proper techniques and compatible glass to ensure a lifetime of enjoyment and durability.
I am a perfectionist and won't sell anything that isn't carefully made. I believe the quality and craftsmanship says a lot about who we are and I want mine to be the best that I can do!

Lilac Treasure Fused Dichroic Glass

Lilac treasure is just that, a treasure of sparkling goodness.

The more you look, the more you see. It is mostly a beautiful lilac color with hints of pink and blue.

It is a smaller pendant for those who like a more dainty look.

It measures a teensy bit over 1/2 in. square (not including the silver bail) and comes with a satin cord.
